Editor’s Note: The following is a list of board, commission, and council meetings that are scheduled for the coming week in Humboldt County.
Arcata City Council
When: The regular meeting is held on the first and third Wednesday of each month at 6 p.m. Special meeting scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
Where: The meeting will be available via Access Humboldt channel 10 and the city’s YouTube channel at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCJYGp9zDPdWMGtA0BtfFX_A.
⢠The board will meet in camera at a special meeting to discuss with union negotiators. The International Union of Operations Engineers, Local # 3, the Arcata Police Association and management / middle / confidential employees are listed as parties to the negotiation.
⢠Under its approval timeline, council may pass a resolution to support the banking of the North Coast Railroad Authority rail line from Willits to Humboldt Bay and oppose the transport of coal by the freight line. .

Eureka City Council

⢠Under its consent agenda, council can pass a resolution to create a no-parking zone on sections of Railroad Avenue between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m., except for commercial vehicles.
⢠The council will consider adopting a mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policy, requiring all city staff to be vaccinated against this virus.
⢠Council is expected to receive a report on the electoral district redistribution and 2020 census data.

Fortuna City Council

⢠Council will consider allowing the City Manager to sign an amendment to the existing agreement with Pacific Gas & Electric Co. for the use of the firehouse during a natural disaster. The move would refer to the use of the firehouse and the general surrounding area to help the public access emergency support and supplies at this site.

Humboldt County Supervisory Board
When: every Tuesday except the fifth Tuesday of a month at 9 a.m.
