T. Rowe Price appoints asset management veteran as Hong Kong-based bond portfolio specialist.
US-based international investment management organization named Ramon Maronilla as a fixed-income portfolio specialist in its investment specialist group, the company announced Thursday.
Maronilla, who took office on March 29, is based in Hong Kong. One of his primary responsibilities is to present the investment outlook of T. Rowe Price’s bond portfolio managers to institutional and intermediary clients in Asia.
He reports to Sydney Nick Beecroftwho is the Asia-Pacific head of the investment group.
JP Morgan Veteran
Previously, Maronilla was at JP Morgan Asset Management, where he was Managing Director and Head of Fixed Income Specialists for Asia-Pacific ex-Japan. He held similar positions at State Street Global Advisors and PIMCO, the company said.
“We believe his technical expertise in fixed income solutions and deep understanding of the evolving needs of Asian investors will greatly enhance our local client support as we strengthen our fixed income offerings in the region. “Beecroft said in the statement.
T. Rowe Price’s bond team manages $175.7 billion in assets globally, according to the statement.
