thebigword Group announces partnership with Susquehanna Private Capital

LEEDS, England – (COMMERCIAL THREAD) – Global leader in language technologies and localization solutions, thebigword Group (“TBW”), today announced a partnership with Susquehanna Private Capital (“SPC”).

SPC will help thebigword Group realize its vision of becoming the world’s de facto multilingual localization tool with WordSynk.

In 2020, the company launched WordSynk, the world’s first all-in-one localization platform. Users of the WordSynk platform include UK, EU and US governments, NATO members around the world, and some of the world’s largest companies with translation support and of interpretation. Led by CEO Joshua Gould, TBW was founded in 1980 by Larry Gould.

“TBW is an extraordinary company led by a world-class management team and skilled linguists who collectively are passionate about eliminating language as a barrier to accessing essential services” said Mark Miller of the SPC. “Together, we will continue to invest in the WordSynk platform to grow its already large user base and expand TBW’s geographic reach and end market.

Speaking of the partnership, founder Larry Gould said: “In the 41 years that I founded TBW, we have always invested in technology, but our biggest challenge has always been to convince our customers and the language community to use this technology. Since we deployed WordSynk, we’ve seen a dramatic channel change where customers not only use our technology, but embrace it, which has led to even more efficient service and a more profitable business.

He added: “What has excited me the most about joining forces with SPC is that it gives thebigword the ability to build on the incredible success we’ve had with WordSynk. Additionally, we believe it has given us the ability to not only win more business, but also allow us to partner with other LSPs around the world.

Joshua Gould, CEO of thebigword Group, said: “We have always been successful with our customers and invested in our technological offering. These two pillars form the basis of our own success as a business, and with SPC we have found an investor who aligns with our mission, vision and culture.

He added: “With this new relationship, we will be able to advance our long-term vision and accelerate our roadmap, to the benefit of our employees, customers and linguists around the world. ”

TBW is SPC’s twelfth investment in a platform.
